CONTEXTUAL FIT
The Smith Family, consisting of Bob and his wife Nicole, have commissioned me to design an addition to their house on the shore of Long Island Sound. The original house, designed in 1965 by architect Richard Meier, has been widely published and is internationally known. Unfortunately, the Owners needs have changed since the original design.

NARRATIVE:
Bob works as an astronomer and is very passionate in what he does. He hopes to incorporate some things from his line of work into the new addition. Both Bob and Nicole are also very active people and hope to include a small gym in the new design. Nicole is also very passionate about nature and has asked for a rooftop space where she can enjoy the outdoors with her family.
